Typically in Dynamics GP, Word Templates often need to be altered as business requirements change. Sometimes, the Word Templates do not have fields available but in order to satisfy customer and vendor needs, certain fields are necessary to add to the document. This tutorial walks you through setting up new fields in Report Writer and Microsoft Word so that way they can be added to the document. The user adds the field to the report writer report and then removes the XML source from the Word Template and re-adds the XML source.
